MoDA chosen as a Designated Collection

April 10th 2008

Middlesex University is pleased to announce that the University's Museum of Domestic Design & Architecture (MoDA) has been granted 'Designated Collection' status from the Museum, Library and Archives Council (MLA) for its Silver Studio collection.

The Designation Scheme identifies the pre-eminent collections of national and international importance held in England's non-national museums, libraries and archives, based on their quality and significance, which it deems to be a vital part of national cultural and artistic heritage.

MoDA will join a distinguished group of museums such as: the Museum of London, the Transport Museum, the Dulwich Picture Gallery and the Royal Academy of Music, who have all been recognised with this prestigious status.

Please visit MoDA's website for further information about the Silver Studio collection, the Designation Scheme, and forthcoming exhibitions: www.moda.mdx.ac.uk.
