Design Icons Lecture Series

A partnership between The Design Museum and Harrods will produce have a series of six design-focused lectures and debates featuring some of the world's leading designers and industrial experts.

Lecture Schedule

  • Open debate chaired by Design Museum Director Deyan Sudjic, discussing the question “What makes a design icon?”, with Roland Mouret and Matteo Alessi. At Harrods, on Tuesday 15 April. Doors open at 6.15pm. (£15)
  • Alastair Lansley on St Pancras International At the Design Museum, on Friday 25 April. Doors open at 6.30pm. (£15)
  • Vivienne Westwood presenting her manifesto ‘Active Resistance to Propaganda’. At the Design Museum, on Friday 2nd May. Doors open at 6.30pm. (£15)
  • Industrial designer Ross Lovegrove At Harrods, with date TBC. Doors open at 7.00pm. (£15)
  • Richard Sapper on techno-functionalism At Harrods, on Friday 16 May. Doors open at 7.00pm. (£15)
  • Christopher Orlebar on Concorde At the Design Museum on Friday 23 May. Doors open at 6.30pm. (£15)
